Conditions |
KT Submarine depot which was constructed
on 14th August, 2000, and recently updated on the early
of August , 2001, store repeaters, BU, Shipboard RSE,
UJ consumables etc in air conditioned room to accommodate
technical requirement of each system as follows.

KT Submarine depot is designed
and constructed to provide suitable condition for the
cables, repeaters, BU, Shipboard test equipment, UJ piece
parts, etc. of Maintenance Authorities. Extent of work
of KT Submarine depot is as follows;
1) Appropriate storage facilities to provide proper
conditions for submersible plant
as described in each system technical specification.
2) Providing submersible plant transfer arrangement
from/to cableship to/from KT Submarine depot by KT Submarine whenever
customer request.
3) Insuring for the equipment, all cables and associated
plant stored.
4) Replenishment of spare submersible, if each MA requests.

The cable ship's mother port was bulit in Keoje, Korea. There
is a dedicated berthing facility, 150m of length, 8m of width
and 8.5m sea depth, capable of 2 vessels berthing at either
side of berth. Sotorage capacity of depot for submersible plant
provides 8,819.3㎡ wide, up to approx. 2,000km length of cable.
